LOWA is a newly formed group to protect and preserve the lake and watershed.

Madeline Harrell, Lake Bloomers member and recycle chairman of LOWA brought awareness of LOWA to the club when personal issues of neglect occurred in her own cove.

Points of concern to the Lake Bloomers were gardening and lawn management along with the practices to protect lake water quality in the use of fertilizers and pesticides.

The goal of LOWA is to educate the public on water quality, waste-water disposal, stream teaming, lake safety-recycling and low impact development.
